Do I Need To Have A Device To Begin The Set Up Process?

While it is preferred to have a device during the setup process, you can absolutely be set up without it!

Technicians will need a device in order to use SWRemote in the field, though, so you'll need to outfit your techs with devices when you're ready to begin using the software on a daily basis.
