Error Message: “Authorization failed: Failed merchant rule check. Would you like to continue?”

Why does this happen?

This can occur due to the following reasons:

  • Either the amount being charged is over the limit of that credit card
  • The maximum dollar amount of credit card charges has been reached in PayFlow, and the limit needs to be increased 
  • If this is the case, please follow the information found here to raise the limit
