How do I take, upload & view Photos in SWRemote?

In order to Take photos in SWRemote, follow these steps:

  • Tap the Photos tab located under the Menu.
  • Tap on the blue button labeled Camera to take a photo.

Your Camera App will launch.  Tap the shutter button to take your photo.

You will see a preview of the photo, prompting you to either Retake or Use Photo at the bottom of the screen. Tap on the which ever option is applicable.

The following screen will allow you to assign any of the available Tags to the Photo. Be sure to tap Save in the upper right hand corner once you've selected the proper tag.

Once the photo saves, you will see a thumbnail saved to this customer's Photo section. 

In order to Upload photos in SWRemote, follow these steps:
  • Tap the Photos tab located under the Menu.
  • Tap on the blue button labeled Upload to take a photo.

A box will pop up asking you to Take Photo, go to your Photo Library or Browse device for more options:

To upload, you'll want to select the Photo Library option.

Selecting the Photo Library option will open your device's available photo folders:

Select whichever folder your desired photo is in. That folder will then open in the same box and you will be able to select which pictured you'd like to upload:

Once your photo has been selected, a blue bubble with a white check mark will appear in the lower right corner of the photo. Be sure to click done to complete your selection:

The next screen will allow you to assign any of the available Tags to the Photo. Be sure to tap Save in the upper right hand corner once you've selected the proper tag.

A thumbnail of the selected photo will then appear in the customer's Photo section.

Can’t see a Photo that was just added to a job from the Office?

If the Tech is on a job for the same customer, they will need to Restart SWRemote if the Photo was added after they dispatched themselves to the job.

This is because the Photos download when the Tech begins the job.  The information does not update mid job, in an attempt the save on cellular Data usage.
